About Us

Kilcock Veterinary Hospital was established in 1990 by Katy Murphy who went to school in Kilcock. The people of Kilcock have always supported us and shown us great kindness. It has been our pleasure to treat their animals and do our very best for them.

Based in Kilcock, Co. Kildare, Kilcock veterinary hospital provides a full range of affordable Veterinary services, specialising in small animal medicine and surgery.  At KVH we offer a professional service, providing the highest standard of care, in order to cover any needs your pet may have. 

Our friendly staff are highly qualified and have years of experience providing top class animal care. It consists of veterinarians, veterinary nurses, and animal care assistants. Our staff endeavour to treat each patient as if it is our own.

Meet the Team

  • Katy Murphy - Vet

    Animals have always played a big part of her life. She grew up on a farm & she learned how to nurture sick & young animals. She qualified as a vet in 1988, in Dublin Veterinary College, did an internship there, then worked in practice in England & Ireland since. She loves her job since no two days are the same and Kilcock Veterinary hospital is a great place to work, having a great team, super equipment, great premises and great clients. She has 2 dogs & a rescued cat at home.

  • Fiona Powell - Vet Nurse

    Fiona has always had a passion for animals from an early age. She followed her dream and studied in Athlone to gain her qualification, a BSc in veterinary nursing. She takes great pride in her work and has a keen interest in anaesthesia, emergency and critical care. She is currently working towards her certificate in emergency and critical care. She loves her job as everyday is different and strives to provide the highest level care to all her patients. The best part of her job is making a difference to her patients' lives. She has two furry friends, a Labrador called Cassie and a rescue cat called Joe!

  • Marina Puente - Vet

    Marina graduated in 2011 from University of Zaragoza in Spain. She specialises in emergency medicine, diagnostic imaging, internal medicine, and soft tissue surgery. She knew she wanted to be a vet since she was just a kid and has always loved animals, so for her, her job is her passion. She has a rescue frenchie called Argui.

  • Vitalija Karbauskaite - Vet Care Assistant

    Meet Vitalija! She has had a huge passion for animals her whole life. She has studied two years of animal science and has studied canine and feline nutrition, she has taken a big interest in nutrition and making sure each animal is on the correct diet. Vitalija was previously a Zookeeper/falconer, she has worked with many different birds of prey, she loves her bird. She has a parrot called Rio at home.

  • Saoirse Shannon - Animal Care Assistant, Kilcock Vets

    Saoirse Shannon - Animal Care Assistant

    Saoirse grew up surrounded by animals having been born into an animal loving family here in Kilcock. Saoirse pursued her interest in Animal care by completing a degree at Dunboyne College of Further Education in 2019. Seeking to expand her skills and deepen her understanding of Animal Science, she then travelled to the Netherlands to focus on the fascinating field of animal behaviour. Saoirse currently has five pets, one golden retriever called Ellie, a golden retriever cross called Roo, a springer/poodle called Beau, two cats Mittens and Lola and a pig called Wilbur.
